Sodium Nitrate is used as oxidizing agent in different types of glass, including flat glass, containers and light bulbs.

n the formulation of commercial explosives (emulsions, dynamite and watergels), Sodium Nitrate provides higher density and sensitivity. It also improves stability and power releasing of the explosive.

Because of its low melting point and high thermal conductivity, Sodium Nitrate is used in salt baths for metal treatments and in formulations of heat transfer fluids.
